Hard to believe that school is nearly ended for the year, it has flown by! This has been a very exciting year for the ARE Memorial Garden. Our shed is up, we were able to get dozens of plants into the Earth, we had a school wide Earth Week planting project that was wildly successful, and we will break ground on our outdoor classroom soon.
As we enter summer we find ourselves in need of family volunteers to adopt the ARE garden and help it continue to grow and thrive. A family, or two, can sign up on the calendar on the main bulletin board in the school for a week at a time. During your week you can come work in the garden as often as you can; weeding, cleaning, and performing general plant maintenance. Our watering schedule should be automated by then so the main tasks will be clean up and weeding.
Please consider donating a week of your family’s time this summer to help ARE garden grow this summer!
